Cooking experts: What are the cooking times for various weights of turkeys with the dressing in it?
I cook my fully thawed turkeys with dressing in it at 450 °F sealed in aluminum foil. I throw away the timer and I don’t open it at all until it’s done. I’m trying to develop a simple chart with a sliding scale so can take the turkey weight and cross reference it with the cooking time when I bake it. I usually bake a 20 pounder for 3 1/2 hours and it comes out perfect. I did a 17 pounder once at about 3:06 and it came out perfect. However when I did a 24 pounder at 4 hours (my straight line estimate) that wasn’t enough. So maybe a curve would be better than a straight line. However I really don’t know. If you have worked out perfect cooking times for various weights of turkey with dressing in it I’d like your input. It doesn’t bother me what temperature you do yours (350 °F or whatever) as long as you have worked out the perfect time for cooking all your various turkey weights while cooking in a similar manner to the way I do. It would give me useful information that I could work with.
Do you know anyone who uses a geothermal heat pump for their home heating and air conditioning?
Also known as geoexchange heat pump or ground source heat pump. How much did it cost them, and how well does it work for them? Do they ever have to supplement it with ordinary heating or air conditioning, or is it always plenty, even in the most extreme weather?

I own a little restaurant in the college area of San Diego. I’m wondering if you can give me any tips for advertising my sandwich shop to the college students. Print advertising? Online Advertising? How much does it cost? Can you also give any ideas on special events or promotions to get customers in? Thanks!
One heating vent makes a different noise than all the others?
I have a forced hot air system. All of my heating vents (except one) make a steady hissing sound during a warming cycle. However, one of them makes a sputtering noise. Is this anything to be concerned with? Perhaps, I need to have an escape valve replaced? They all seem to work fine warming the house. I don’t want to call a repair service for no good reason.
What are the best small appliances for my future kitchen?

I’m moving into an apartment in a week, and am trying to plan what I should buy for it. The kitchen already has an oven, microwave, etc… so what I’m looking for are small appliances like a toaster, Foreman grill, and so on. I’m a rookie when it comes to kitchens, so I’m wondering what the most important, most versatile, and most cost effective appliances I can buy are. So far, I’m planning on a toaster, pressure cooker and an electric contract grill. What else should I get?
Do Restaurants usually hire more during the holiday season?

I’ve been trying to get a job at a restaurant and have been having a hard time finding one that’s hiring. I know most retail stores hire for seasonal workers so I’m wondering if restaurants usually do this as well. Also I know restaurant business slows down after Christmas, but how much? Anybody know? Thanks!

What is the process to install a geothermal heat exchange system for residential heating and ac?
Our home is in Minnesota and was built in 1907. We heat our house with a gas/forced-air furnace (less than 10-years old) and seek information on how we might retrofit to a geothermal heating and cooling system. How much a pool or coil is needed per sq/ft of heated/cooled interior space ? Is the installation expensive?
Who considers the repetitive advertising of Harvey Norman on TV & radio,to being brainwashed?

I consider the constant advertising on all channels of TV & Radio by Harvey Norman as little more than brainwashing. It has reached the point of using the mute button on the remote every time their advert appears on sceen and turning off the radio when I hear it start. On principal due to this constant advertising I will not shop at their stores. I understand there has to be advertising but do not want to be told over and over again during a programme of the many sales and the offers of no payment for long periods of time. There are many others but I find this company the worst. At times the same items are advertised within few minutes of each other. If the watchdogs are contacted, the reply is pages of facts and figures to prove the companies are within the guidelines. Thank goodness for the ABC.Long may they remain advertising free.
