  • How close to a heating vent ( heating/AC duct can I install an electrical receptacle in a wall?

I want to install an AC outlet next to stud that is to the left of a heating/AC duct in a basement. There is no drywall or wall paneling here. Can I do this or is there a code where all electrical outlets must be X amount of inches away from heating/AC duct. Note that a 2/4 stud is separating the duct.

Do what you need to you have no issue, I know the NEC inside and out and unless you put it in the duct or return. no rules

No problem ,but if the duct is made of metal , it might be worth checking that it is correctly bonded to the earth

Go ahead and put in your outlet. No problem there.
