  • How to avoid over heating a laptop ideas?

It just keeps over heating and i find myself having to cool it down by waving a pillow or fan over it for a certain amount of times. Is there anything i should do to avoid overheating?

If the laptop has power options in the control panel- put it on a low power state. After this, purchase a laptop cooling pad which is very effective with underside fans which simply run off the USB’s. They are cheap and convenient and there is a wide choice. Also, if you are confident with the working parts of your laptop and don’t mind voiding the warranty, take the back off your laptop and clean out the fans and get rid of any dust carefully.

      1. don’t block the ports by using the laptop on your lap. Or on a be, or on a blanket.

Or on anything that blocks the ports on the bottom or sides.

Get a cooler. They work, and keep your laptop cool & clean.

If it’s overheating , stop using it, you need to get it fixed. It will probably cost you 100.00 and they will have to tear down your laptop. It’s probably in the middle.

I also bought a laptop cooling fan when my fan was going out in my dell, get one with 3 fans in it. Your laptop sits on top and it runs off your usb port.
