A GE or Whirlpool Stackable washer & dryer. It takes 15 minutes for it to heat up and it still wont get hot enough to dry a load. Any ideas? I’ve never replaced a heating element and I don’t know how to test if that’s even the problem.

So for my cooking question, I am soaking lima/butter beans and the skins are pealing off & they look like crap. I have not even cooked them How do I cook dried beans and have them turn out like the ones in the can with the skins still on and not falling apart?

Do those little sponsor advertising spots found on sport uniforms/cars really work?

I always thought that the whole thing amounted to a company giving money away for nothing (having a company’s logo represented in some random spot). How about how they have like 100 baseball card-sized logos stuck on one spot of a car, that wouldn’t be seen so well while the car is running. Why does Coke, Budweiser, or say McDonalds even need to spend anymore on advertising? Is it only a scheme to keep ad agencies guaranteed employent? I mean its unlikely coke or any of the top ten companies would ever lose ground as far as sales. Right? Can someone break it dwon in #’s & sales…What is an example of a cinderella story where some athelete won something and the sponsors revenue skyrocketed? Is there a textbook case where the negative acts of a sponsored athelete shut that company down (comsumer product item)?

The heating part of our combi boiler has stopped working. The hot water is still on though. Can anyone help? Combi boiler only 18 months old. Thank you Obviously I have no idea but I thought with a combi boiler if it breaks you have no heating nor hot water. If anyone can help would greatly appreciate it as the kids (11 months & 2 yrs) both have really bad hacking coughs & our place is drafty so not ideal having no heating.

Central Heating – how would you go about installing it in your home?

Hi. I am just about to make an offer on a house – but it does not have central heating! If my offer is accepted, I’m sure to install some sort of heating to it – radiators & underfloor heating for the bathroom. The house hasn’t been touched for many many years it seems, and I have a chance of really doing things anew, installing efficient up-to-date systems. . But I am completely baffled as to how go about this. Should I choose oil/ gas/ electricity… for example? How much does everything cost to do up?? (it’s a semi-detatched 3 bed house by the way, if this info helps) And who / which establishment should I ask to do it for me??? I hear british gas is expensive… . Any suggestions, comments appreciated. Thanks.
